Colección Cartas amorosas

Este año hermosas flores me inspiraron para la creación de una colección titulada “Cartas amorosas”. Un encuentro fortuito con los alcatraces y su belleza, comenzando por el significado de su nombre, que proviene del griego y cuyo significado es hoja de papiro, de la que surge la palabra <<carta>>.

Comencé a expresar mis pensamientos a través del forjado del metal,  como si la plata fuera la hoja de papiro en donde cada martilleo, cada cincelado, cada textura que aplicaba fueran mensajes de amor y se volvieran una carta amorosa para todas las mujeres.

Y qué mejor forma de expresar cariño que a través de un símbolo universal. Las flores de alcatraz lo hacen de forma figurativa con su hermosa hoja blanca, que como embudo en forma de corazón protege a las flores que surgen de su interior en la espádice, un ramillete de flores masculinas y femeninas, el espacio perfecto para el encuentro amoroso.

Además complementé estos mensajes con gemas de cuarzo color amarillo, como un toque que simboliza la miel desbordada de este encuentro amoroso, tan sublime como el juego entre la pureza y blancura de la plata con el amarillo del citrino, el color de las flores del alcatraz.

Fue así que resultaron pequeñas esculturas utilitarias, piezas que abrazan el alma y florecen mirando al cielo para adornar la presencia de aquellas que las portarán.
